St. James Church

The first preserved mention of this church in Místek comes from the year 1582. During a great town fire in the year 1602,the parts of the wooden sanctuary mostlt burnt. A new, this time brick church, began to be built about twenty years later and it was completed under its present name in the year 1644. Up to today, with its many renovations, it makes up a dominant feature of Parish Square.

Kolem kostela také najdeme sochy svatých, např. Josefa Pěstouna s Ježíškem nebo sv. Františka. Sochy kolem kostelů (ale i jinde ve městě) jsou krásnou galerií kamenického nebo kovoliteckého mistrovství a příběhy jednotlivých svatých se dají vyprávět i jako hodně napínavé, někdy docela drsné legendy.
