Frýdek Chateau

The first mention of Frýdek comes from the first half of the 14th century, when a Gothic castle was founded to protect the border of Moravia and Silesia. Today´s Frýdek Chateau, the seat of the Frýdek-Místek Beskyde Museum, offers several exhibits to view - The Chateau´s Sphere, The Beskydes - nature and people, Frýdek and Místek, Frýdek - Marian´s pilgrimage sites, the Ondra Lysohorsky Memorial.
